On Friday night, we proudly celebrated a massive win at this year’s Foodservice Cateys, with our trailblazers taking home a trio of trophies!

Held at the Royal Lancaster London hotel, the prestigious black-tie ceremony was packed with the best of the best in our industry, celebrating the people, teams and businesses shaking up the food service industry.

Recognised for our leadership and innovation, we took home the Business and Industry Caterer of the Year, alongside our two superstars, Andy Aston, Extra Mile Award winner and Lucy Ager, Regional Manager of the Year winner.

This past year at BaxterStorey we’ve been on a mission, ripping up the rule book and reinventing the way we do things. We launched a game-changing benefits package, strengthened our focus on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and rolled out our sustainability strategy while growing our successful UK and international client partnerships. With our values, Always Visionary and Creatively Collaborative at our core, we couldn’t be prouder to take home this year’s B&I Caterer of the year!

This is truly fantastic recognition for our teams who have worked so tirelessly this year to make a difference for each other and our clients. I am delighted they have been recognised.

Ronan Harte, CEO

Head of community and partnerships, Andy scooped up his award in recognition of driving forward several mental health initiatives, within BaxterStorey and across the wider industry, giving much-needed support to those struggling.

Turning his personal challenges into a force for good, Andy became the first wellness ambassador for the Craft Guild of Chefs in 2021, running several wellness sessions covering important topics like ADHD, addiction and suicide. A true community hero, Andy also mentors young chefs, builds our chef partnerships and actively supports charity programmes.

Meanwhile, accounts director Lucy stepped into the spotlight to receive her award, celebrating her career journey that’s nothing short of inspiring. Since joining BaxterStorey in 2019, Lucy has been on a rocket ride to success, quickly rising the ranks to become one of our youngest account directors. Overseeing ten locations and a team of 120 people while championing initiatives like the Green Schools Project and her own ‘Young Women in Hospitality’ mentoring programme while being a Springboards Ambassador, Lucy is a true trailblazer pushing boundaries beyond her day-to-day.

Judge Emma Williams praised Lucy’s outstanding leadership, “The strength of Lucy’s submission spoke for itself. The breadth of the role, and the strength of the relationships were outstanding. And if that wasn’t enough, to give back as much as she does is a credit to her.”
