Thuy Diem Pham joins BaxterStorey as new chef partner
We are spicing things up with the incredible chef and author, Thuy Diem Pham, to ignite our chefs’ passion for Vietnamese cookery.
Thuy, former head chef and restauranteur of London’s Little Viet Kitchen in Islington, will run Vietnamese cooking masterclasses for our chefs all over the UK, from sauces to summer roll-making.
Chefs will have the opportunity to delve into the world of Vietnamese cookery, experimenting with exotic ingredients and mastering the techniques behind the flavours.
It’s not just about the cooking. Thuy will mentor and inspire our taste makers to get creative with their menus and spark more authentic recipes.
Working with Thuy supports our Nourish to Flourish movement, promoting an eating for your wellbeing culture that heals both people and the planet. Thuy’s recipes including Banh-Mi inspired brioche burgers, confit duck lettuce rolls, and coconut crab udon soup, will bring something new to the table for our customers.
Hoping to inspire our chefs to explore fusion cuisine with integrity, Thuy said: “I’m looking forward to teaching Vietnamese cooking techniques that are not taught at culinary school, sharing tips and old-school tricks in the hope it will inspire BaxterStorey’s chefs to step up their dishes. I want to give them the confidence to approach this cuisine without recipes so they can intuitively balance flavours”.
Head of Wellbeing and Nutrition, Andy Aston added: “We’re very excited to have Thuy on board and have been big fans of her unique approach to Vietnamese cooking for some time. Our business is built on giving people the skills and confidence to truly express their individuality through the power of food, to give our customers a memorable experience. What better person than Thuy to help fuel this!”
