BaxterStorey makes first appearance at Taste of London

We took our food obsession to the capital’s biggest food festival, Taste of London, as we cooked up tasty bites from across the globe and talked all things careers, coffee, and food of course!

Executive chef, Taz Tariq served Phuchka filled with smoked tamarind lamb, fermented cucumber kimchi, Tamarind BBQ chutney and Growing Underground cress.

Executive chef Ryan Percopo and Steve Gomersall cooked up Wildfarmed tortellini with Amalfi lemon and ricotta, lovage pesto, cobble lane cured pancetta, torn burrata and toasted pine nuts. Despite it being the hottest day of the year, there was quite a queue!

Feasting continued into the weekend with Curry on Naan Stop, where visitors enjoyed Mumbai-inspired burgers, Bhel Puri made with puffed rice and Bombay mix, Papdi Chaat and Pani Puri, a non-alcoholic tequila-based shot.

On Sunday, visitors enjoyed executive chef Chris Terry and sous chef Raymond Yeung’s blue grey beef and puffed beef tendon, Suffolk chicken with Coronation mayo and Lancashire poacher with saffron tapioca.

Leading the legendary latte art smackdown competition, head of coffee development, Jana Slamova got guests perfecting their latte art, with a chance of winning a year’s supply of Modern Standard coffee.

Crowds gathered at our Waiter’s Challenge game, giving visitors the chance to win a selection of vintage and classic champagnes. The winner lasted an impressive four minutes!

Now in its 18th year, the food-fuelled event, held at Regent’s Park, is taken over by a whopping 55,000 food lovers and over 150 artisan stalls, boasting the best dishes and drinks around.
