Ingredients:
50ml Tanqueray 10
50ml Earl Grey and cucumber syrup (see recipe below)
Homemade Earl Grey & cucumber syrup Ingredients:
200g sugar
6 earl grey tea bags
300ml water
200g ice
Juice half lemon
200ml cucumber juice
Method:
To make the syrup, bring water and sugar to the boil. Boil for two minutes.
Remove from stove and add tea bags. Add peel of half a lemon, cover in clingfilm and steep for 30 minutes. Remove clingfilm and add ice to chill.
To make the cucumber juice, using the scraped-out centres of cucumbers, take 500g seeds and add 5g salt. Leave to sit for 20 minutes, then strain through fine chinos to collect cucumber water.
Combine the syrup and cucumber water together. Add lemon juice and chill until needed.
Fill a shaker with ice, add both ingredients and shake well.
Strain in a frosted Nick & Nora.
